Brooklyn's birthday fell on Black Friday this year and seen as her Daddy works retail we decided to celebrate her birthday on Thanksgiving day! It was a GREAT day!! B was very spoiled and we spent the day eating and celebrating with family.
B opened her first present - a practical gift to set the theme for the day - Brave! (Please note she did NOT eat all of those donuts!!!)
We spread out B's presents over the course of the day... next was BRAVE!! She is obsessed with the movie and luckily it came out on DVD right before her birthday! She got to watch a little of the movie until my parents could Skype with us to watch her open the gift from them...
It is a super awesome tablet made just for kids - the Nabi 2! We love it and she has used it sooooo much! Next B got to go on a little treasure hunt to find her big present from Brett and I. I set out these little plastic rings and she got to follow the trail while accessorizing... It led all the way to her scooter!
Of course we immediately went on the street to test it out... yes, she is still in her PJ's! B also got a shopping cart from Grammy & Papa which she LOVES and a pet fish from her Uncle Adam!! She named her fish Nemo... then Dorey... then Nemo-Dorey... basically it changes with her mood!!
After spending the morning at home we packed up the rest of B's gifts and all the food and headed over to The Holladay's for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was great but B was ready to get opening the rest of her presents!
Basically she got A LOT of stuff! From Brett and I - a brave doll, a big bubble wand, the Tangled CD, a Peppa Pig house, Specs-Reads-A-Lot Lalaloopsy (love the expression on her face in that picture - she had been asking for that specific one), and a little Rapunzel and a Lalaloopsy carry house. From the Davies - a HUGE headband and a bunch of suckers! From the Dursts - the most adorable outfit - pictures will come! From Grandma White - play food for her shopping cart. From the Holladay's & Disanza's - a cash register (which has been a HUGE hit!!)! She is a very lucky little girl!!
I made her cake and went simple this year - but of course it was a Brave cake!
We also managed to take a family picture!!!
Thanksgiving was perfect and B LOVED her birthday!! Yay for our 3 year old!
